THE RICKY STICKY BUN WINS SPECIALITY
CATEGORY AT THE WORLD BREAD AWARDS
We are delighted to announce our Ricky Sticky Bun, launched in May 2013, won the speciality category at the World Bread Awards.
The judging panel included a host of industry renowned personalities such as James Morton, finalist of The Great British Bake Off; Xanthe Clay, food writer for The Daily Telegraph; Andrew Whitley, founder of the Village Bakery and the Real Bread Campaign; Edd Kimber, The Boy Who Bakes; Phil Vickery, TV chef, andCharles Campion writer and broadcaster of Masterchef.
The judges used just one word to sum up their evaluation of the product - ‘awesome.’
Named after our fabulous home town Rickmansworth - The Ricky Sticky Bun is a sweet bun, rolled in cinnamon and topped with a deliciously gooey, caramelised pecan topping.
As the renowned home of the Cinnamon Square bun, we thought it would be great to create a product which would be synonymous with our home town Rickmansworth.
Hopefully the Ricky Sticky Bun will continue to place Rickmansworth firmly on the map and attract more visitors to the High Street.
The new Ricky Sticky bun is now available to purchase individually or as a box of 9 in-store.
